“Anamika Films Development Society” is a culture based Non Government Organization which is established and registered in the year 1999-2000 under section 21, 1860 with the objectives and aim of development and advancement of cultural and traditional activities.

Uttaranchal is a culturally colorful society. The religious, social and cultural urges of the people of Uttaranchal find an expression in various fairs and festivals, which are in turn closely linked to the social and economic activities of the region. Various folk songs and dances have been kept alive because of these fairs. In older times, when means of transport were not so good these fairs were an opportunity for friends and relatives to meet regularly. In spite of all the changes in our society, the tradition of fairs has been kept up by the people. Our religion and culture is very rich. The fairs and folk festivals of Uttaranchal are very colorful and distinctive, and are the blend of various natural, social and cultural factors.

The many changes in modern media are affecting our Indian society. Media, entertainment, and advertising influence the way that people think and feel. As technology advances and media sources increase, advertisement is affecting our modern culture more than ever. Nowadays, media is considered to be a window for learning and also the window to the world. It has evolved from simple text in papers, to voices on a radio, to voices and pictures in television and movies to the broad, information packed internet.

Today’s society lives in a media rich environment. The media’s growing influence is un shaping the values and attitudes of young children. Excessive exposure to media can also promote anti-social behavior, sedentary lifestyles, and materialistic values. Entertainment and media usage has become an isolating experience in today’s modern families, especially in the daily lives of children

Due to the over influence, so called modernization and advancement of culture and traditions we are going away from our moral values.

We as an organization is frequently working from the last so many years for the purpose of development of our tradition, culture and incredible talent. Our purpose is time to time organization of cultural events/activities and production/ direction of regional films, folk dance, folk songs, so that our youths can understand value of their rich tradition and culture.

It’s really a very happy news and point of satisfaction that these days our youths are actively participating in regional folk activities.

For improving the quality of life by the help of natural resources given to us from our environment we requires sincerity of purpose on the part of the political leadership at the Centre and the State levels and the implementing authorities at local level but not least, the participation of common people at every level is of utmost importance and the most important tool to conserve our environment is “ Management of environment means the proper utilization, conservation preservation, control and recycling of the resources for maintaining a balanced ecosystems. The main focus of environment management is, thus, to avoid the over-use, misuse and abuse of the natural resources”.

Government also feels that Non-governmental agencies or voluntary organizations can play a very important role in environmental protection and management. We as an organization are here to adopt and spread all this knowledge all around.
